Buyer I

The Buyer I is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services required for the organization. This entry-level position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the timely procurement of quality materials, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Buyer I will also analyze market trends and assist in negotiating contracts to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of goods and services by researching suppliers and evaluating pricing options
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using purchasing software
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
• Monitor market trends and vendor performance to identify potential improvements in the purchasing process
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods

Qualifications
