The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. They must have a passion for food and a strong understanding of culinary techniques and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update menu items based on seasonality and customer preferences
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure high quality and consistent dishes
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with management to develop business strategies and achieve financial goals

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience and training
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and ingredients
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
